Aircraft Pencil Drawing

This pencil drawing depicts an image of P-51 fighters from late 1943.  Intricate details in this pencil drawing is what makes this piece truly unique; from the smoke coming from the plane ahead, to the detailed body of each airplane, and the ground below.  In late 1943 the P-51B fighters were used by the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) 8th Air Force to escort bombers during raids of Germany.  During mid-1944, the P-51D's were created and supplemented for the P-51B's.  During World War II, it is recorded that 4,950 enemy aircraft were shot down by Mustang pilots.  Each element drawn, really drags you further into the depth of this pencil drawing, created by Tim Forhan.
